Tricone Bit has been used for almost 100 years in the oil, gas & mining industries, its supporting system is relatively perfect
- Selection, IADC Code, which represents the bearing, leg, cone designs, make it much easier for customers to select the right design for different soil formation
- Bearing & Sealing: Various, can be customized according to the application formation
- Bottom hole cleaning: Quite efficent by air circulation system or the drilling muds
- Leg design: Irregular, 120 degrees, designed for tricone bit assembly
- Cone/ Cutter Deisgn: grooved design, have blank assembling area, for tricone bit only, one key design to prevent balled-up bit, but not work in piling.

- Selection, no universal standard yet for this kind of application
- Bearing & Sealing, only have Journal ruber sealed bearing worked in piling application, due to the cost & soil conditions, only use on rock ucs above 80MPa.
- Bottm Hole Cleaning: low efficiency as per the common roller bit core barrel design. check firmtech bolt-on core barrel, will increase this point.
- Leg Design: Upgraded for rock core barrel, easy for welding and find accurate position
- Cone design: Full covered inserts, upgraded feature for cutting annular groove in hard rock, increase drilling efficiency
